Future of microPebble?

I assumed that the main reason for this app was to have an open source alternative to the offical Pebble app.
Now when the offical pebble app is mostly open source, the need is gone? My assumption might be wrong though.

The official app might have som binary blobs and depenancy for google play services and such though. But then wouln't it be better to fork the offical and make a deblobbed version?

A good question. I'm not entirely sure.

I will personally be using it at least until coredevices/mobileapp#26 and coredevices/mobileapp#29 are merged (because official app is now still missing crucial functionality that I use). After that, I will then likely switch to a fork of an official app.
