I want to second this -- more detailed user management/administration documentation would be appreciated. I have just got my server set up with federation, but am not up to speed with managing accounts on my server. |

Just to add my 5 cents... I have a scripts to configure tuwunel on my server and now struggling with automatic user registration. It would be great to have command to register user from command line. At the moment I need to use hack with server restart and command: tuwunel --config /etc/tuwunel/tuwunel.toml --execute "users create_user @$$username:$(tuwunel_server_name) $$PW" 2>&1 .... This is not really convenient. |

Linking this to issue #185 I would love to help bring this documentation up to date. I would like to have a tutorial/guide for new server admins. I am working on adding Tuwunel to Proxmox via Proxmox Community Scripts, and would like to link to such a document. Seems like once the initial user is set up, they can utilize the admin room for further user administration. @ad-pro would this work for you versus the CLI? I do not want to log into a shell, either. |

I consider myself an average administrator with average knowledge. My main expertise is graphics with a focus on 3D (making PC games), which implies that I am the "GUI" type of person. In short, if I don't have to write commands somewhere, I like to avoid it, even if it means I have to install and run some add-on on the server.
I love Tuwunel for many reasons (Rust, hardware savings, speed, feature richness), but I'm waiting for full call implementation and everything related to it (after all, game developers call each other a lot and share screens :) ), but we're already discussing that in another topic.
In this thread, I would like to ask about another thing, which is probably not so necessary, but I am still truly interested in it. I currently have their extension for web administration (Synapse Admin service) deployed on my Synapse instance. I read in the Tuwunel documentation that everything is handled here using commands from the admin room. It's most likely a good compromise, but if something similar could be done, it would be absolutely fantastic, if only because of the overviews of various data, such as users and many other things, which would look clearer than in the command line.
Just an idea for discussion. Thank you for considering. 😊
