Extend existing model with new properties

Hi, currently I am trying to find an opportunity to extend existing Subreddit model with the "icon_img" field. Have already tried several approaches but unfortunately it doesn't work. So, is it possible to achieve this scenario? If you could give any recommendations it would be great.
