cargo install in CI takes a long time (1-2 mins), it would be great if we can download a pre-built binary directly to reduce the CI time.

Hi, if you just want to clean your cache in ci, you can check out the ci-autoclean feature (see readme) which builds around 10x faster on my machine.

Switching off --release for cargo install (cargo install --debug) might also be the faster choice if you have to build it on every run.

Alternatively you can grab cargo-binstall to then install a binary build of cargo-cache. For CI use (at least with Github Actions) there is a dedicated action for getting cargo-binstall which you might prefer 👍

The suggested ci-autoclean approach if sufficient works well and --debug suggestion built within 5 seconds for me (vs 7s without --debug).
