I see that the paper has been accepted and published, congrats!
You wrote that N characters are not supported by A*PA2. Indeed that is somewhat the case, but can easily be fixed -- I have some code that fixes it, so I'll take this as a hint to write documentation on that and expose it using some clean API rather than all hidden away :)
Also, I must say, I am a bit confused by the presentation of the A*PA2 results. The only thing I find about is one sentence saying that QuickEd is 1.03x resp. 0.94x faster than A*PA2-simple/A*PA2-full, but I can not find the corresponding results in table 2 (or supplement)?
