Why is it impossible to close a panel?

Creating a tab panel is pressing on a create panel button, easy enough.

How do you delete a panel? You would expect there to be a "delete panel" option in the context menu, but there is not.

You can open a "configure panel" menu that also doesn't contain a "delete panel" option

Right-click on the one you want to get rid of and choose Remove Panel.

Wasn't an option. I used ShyFox settings and I guess they removed it. I found the option to add it back, though
