send reset link

when clicking "send reset link" for an email authentication type, I'm just getting an error back (400: OPERATION_NOT_ALLOWED).
I'm using the example you provided.

Is there anything that I might be missing? The example ui page you provided works, but when I use the exact code, in my app it's not working on localhost.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. The reset password functionality uses passwordless sign in (via an email link) as a way to bypass firebase's hideous and uncustomizable reset password page. To enable it:

1. Navigate to Authentication in your Firebase dashboard
2. Select the Sign In Method tab
3. Click the pencil icon to the right of the 'email' provider
4. Enable the Email Link (passwordless sign in) toggle
