Is this a space for ads like in HomePage or a bug?

There is an empty banner section at the top in all other doc pages in the MDN docs website with an html class attribute - page-layout__banner. The layout banner is only visible above 768px screen width breakpoint.

There is a similar banner section in the HomePage of the website but it is for displaying ads.

So, I was wondering if it is a bug or intentional for future display of ads?
I didn't open an issue as I wasn't sure.

Nevermind. It is the banner for ads on all routes but the ad doesn't appear everytime.
