Updating Revision Tool just hangs on "Updating"

Describe the bug
Trying to update Revision Tool from 1.5.1 to 1.10.13

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open Revision Tool
2. Click on Settings
3. Click "Check for Updates" button
4. Click "Yes" to update prompt
5. Just hangs there forever on "Updating"

Expected behavior
It should update and complete the update

Same here. Probably antivirus stops updating.
Then I tried to download setup from this Github but McAfee deleted the download file due to virus or something.

Just redownload and reinstall from the releases section. If your external AV is blocking it, disable it for the time.

I redownloaded and also reapplied the 24.06 playbook but Revision Tool will not open. I double click on it and UAC asks me to allow it and I click yes and nothing happens. Task Manager shows it running though for a few seconds and then drops away

Downloaded the prerelease 1.10.14 and tried that, same thing launches and UAC asks me if I wanted to allow and then nothing

I have. Numerous times. Nothing changes and that’s the only thing that’s ever told to me.

A month of the same suggestion isn’t working, can you please give me an alternative to try? Or is there something I can post that would help identify what’s going on? Revision doesn’t enter any event codes in event viewer so that’s not a help

I did a fresh reload of windows, waited until today to install the playbook and revision tool from the new release that fixes the issue with it closing and there is no change. It just closes immediately like it did before

Can I ask if you’re running on an ARM-based device (like a Snapdragon or Copilot+ PC)? The Revision Tool isn't compatible with Windows on ARM, so if that's the case, it would explain why it won't open or update, even after a fresh install.
If you're not on ARM, let us know your hardware specs and maybe we can troubleshoot further. Hope this helps narrow things down!

Not ARM, AMD cpu.

I wiped my drive and installed vanilla Windows and am just enjoying that. Seemed to be many issues that sprung up on the Revision side (I had been using it just fine for well over a year and the issue randomly came out of nowhere.
