Prebuilt libraries for Android

Please supply working link to prebuilt Android lib libmega.so.

I tried, but could not get it to work. I'm on a windows computer using mingw64. When i run:

./build.sh bindings

I get

Why don't you upload a .jar file to Maven. That would just make this so much easier.

Hi Helge

It would be great to provide a pre-built binary through Maven. Unfortunately, we are not planning to do so. We maintain the build system internally, though we are making improvements in the CI/CD and eventually the official Android app will start consuming a pre-built of the SDK that we may consider to distribute publicly.

In the meantime, let me ask the Android team to provide support for building the SDK for Android ;)

@robinshi-mega , could your team please check what's wrong with the build.sh for the SDK's ExampleApp?

Hi @helgovic, the most reliable build support for Android target is only MacOS and Linux. The errors you pasted look quite related to file handling differences on Windows.
You can download the Android AAR file from below link. The AAR file contains the SDK binary .so files as well as the compiled Java binding files. It should be easier for you to use. (Please note: this prebuilt AAR has been produced and used for our internal use so far. It's not published anywhere publicly yet. ).

@robinshi-mega Can you re-upload the pre-built binaries please? Its a lot of trouble to just get the build and then having the app crash when it can't find FileWrapper class which is actually a part of mega android app.

@robinshi-mega Thank you for sharing the aar. The aar is causing a crash on Android (same issue when I built the sdk with the given instructions and some fixes in build.sh). Both have the below crash after a sign-in attempt:
