Using Mem0 from China — custom OpenAI base_url for API relay behind GFW

Problem

Mem0 uses OpenAI (and optionally Anthropic) APIs under the hood. In mainland China, both api.openai.com and api.anthropic.com are blocked:

openai.APIConnectionError: Connection error. ETIMEDOUT

Solution: Custom base_url

Mem0 passes through the OpenAI client config, so you can set a custom base_url:
