I will need to look into this but WordPad was removed from Windows 11 in 24H2 and it was always a Legacy-WindowsCapability, the version that you installed from Winaero could be another package, meaning it is installed or extracted as an exe and is not enabled as a Legacy-Capability and that's why Winhance doesn't detect it. |

I just installed Winhance v26.01.26 on a
Lenovo Thinkcentre neo 50a 24 M/N: 12SC002PUX running
Windows 11 Pro 24H2 OSbuild 26100.7628
Under Software & Apps, Windows Apps & Features, Windows Capabilities,
WordPad is showing NOT installed (red dot).
I like the light weight text editor provided by WordPad,
so using the approach provided by Winaero
(https://winaero.com/wordpad-for-windows-11/?utm_source=software&utm_medium=in-app&utm_campaign=wordpad&utm_content=learnmorelink),
I downloaded and ran the wordpad-2.0-setup.exe file.
In addition to installing WordPad, it also added the RTF file association,
the New Rich Text Document item to File Explorer, add the OLE registration.
It runs well and I have added a shortcut to the Start menu.
I'm just curious why it is not detected.
