GSoC 2026 - Mesa-LLM Project: Where to contribute example models & clarification on scope

Hi Mesa community! 👋

I'm preparing my GSoC 2026 proposal for the Mesa-LLM iteration / push to production project, and I have a couple of quick questions

1. Where should Mesa-LLM example models live?

The GSoC guide says to contribute models to mesa-examples, but the mesa-llm repo already has its own examples folder.

Should I:

• A) Contribute to mesa-examples (the main examples repo)?
• B) Contribute directly to mesa-llm/examples/?
• C) Both — a simplified version in mesa-examples and a more detailed one in mesa-llm/examples/?

2. Should the example model use Mesa-LLM or plain Mesa?

Since I'm targeting the Mesa-LLM project specifically, does it make more sense to build an example that:

• Showcases LLMAgent and the Mesa-LLM framework directly?
• Or a plain Mesa model that demonstrates concepts relevant to the LLM integration work?
