Is there an issue with GPS and the lilygo pager?

Ive been trying for days to get a GPS lock on my pager but nothing ever shows, if i load the meshtatsic firmware it gets 12 sats sat in the house but on meshcore ive even tried leaving the device outside for 1hr but still zero sats found

baud rate 9600, but ive also tried other baud rates and still no sats found

Same here with LilyGo T-Echo, seems not to get a gps fix. Position is always 0 0. FW is 1.9.0

that's not the same firmware/issue. t-pager uses ripple and t-echo uses community companion firmware

just flashed my t-echo to companion bluetooth (1.9.0 release), went to settings, enabled position, put the device outside, set self telemetry to auto refresh and I got a lock after about 20 seconds.

Device is running for about 2 hours now, still no fix. But the weather is bad here today. Will look after it tomorrow.

so does the pager firmware have a known issue with the GPS? as i say meshtastic finds sats inside the house within minutes so not a hardware issue, i understand its community firmware and a relatively new device so hopefully a fix is found

pager does not use community firmware, but ripple, which is supported by @ripplebiz.

Fwiw (still unclear on OP's firmware), I'm running Ripple 7.12 on my pager with GPS 38400 baud, and it works great.

im running 7.12, ill try putting the baud rate at 38400, all the research i found online said 9600 for the lilygo pager but i also tried it on 38400, ill try again and leave outside

this worked!!! 38400 is the key, when i checked that wasnt a baud rate id tried and as soon as i selected it i got 7 sats straight away in the house, THANKYOU SO MUCH!!
