Description
Hi,
Some phones support multipoint bluetooth connections, which means you can connect multiple BT-devices at the same time. The problem is that Android does not allow you to choose which device should be generally used as a microphone and which device should be used for audio output like its possible under Linux oder Windows. Android only allows you if you want to use a device for audio playback or calls, but this does not help.
Can you please add a feature at the application level that allows you to explicitly use a specific device as a microphone source and another device explicitly for audio output ?
I would like to use two seperated devices with meshenger, a BT mic (DJI mic 2) as microphone source and a BT headset of my choice (with or without an integrated mic) as speaker.
The reason for this is that most headsets have poor microphone quality and, in addition, some headset designs are not suitable for all applications.
In my case, I would like to use messanger during bicycle tours and talk with the group. over mobile wifi hotspot. We all wear full face helmets, so different kind of headsets do not work because they are to large. In addition, you have a lot of noise interference caused by wind when using integrated mics. So the plan is, to use a bone conduction headset as output device (which works really good under a helmet) and a BT mic like the DJI mic 2 with a lavalier microphone and a dead cat. In terms of mic quality, this is the ideal solution, as we have already used the microphone for action camera recordings and the sound quality of the mic is brilliant.
