When turning on the backlight, then turning off the screen the backlight remains on wasting battery.
Then you have to turn it on manually again when you go to use the t-deck (presumably in the dark)
Describe the solution you'd like
When the backlight is enabled, it is tied to the screen being on. So when the screen turns off, the keyboard backlight does to. Then when the screen turns on again, the backlight comes on.
When the backlight is set to disabled, it just stays off.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Manually turning the backlight on and off every time I want to send a message. Fiddling around in the dark to do so.
