[Feature Request]: S&F Node only with Default Channel

Hello!

• I want to set up a S&F node with the possibility to share the device metrics and position with other nodes (and MQTT-->Mapping).
• Additionally, I don't want to setup private channels incl. the PSK on the node, because it's public and I don't want to share some "secrets" with others.

For both settings I didn't found any solution - could it be fixed?

I am also struggling with the same problem.
For S&F server I am forced to set the primary channel with PSK. But then the node is not shown on the map.
Indeed the best solution would be to not need a private channel for the S&F server.

You can't use store and forward on the default channel.

Yes, I know that. However, if channel 0 is PSK encrypted then the node is not visible on the map. And this is my main problem. Do you have any practical advice on how to set this up?
Currently the primary channel is PSK encrypted, the secondary is unencrypted LongFast.
All available nodes can see the S&F server, works with SF. I can retrieve the messages with another device.
Only on the liamcottle map the S&F server is not visible (my second device is connected to the liamcottle mqtt map, it should pass the S&F position to the map).

You could write a python script that that swaps the channels and sends node info and then swaps them back. The current developer position is that this should not have an official solution so you'll need to get creative.

It is complicated and the goal is not to put me but any mqtt node on the map.
