HELTEC V3 No longer able to find nodes at distance

After updating the Heltec V3 I am unable to find nodes at a distance greater than just a few feet. It will communicate with a t-echo that is in the same room but unable to find anything else. Typically after an hour they would be able to find 30-40 nodes.

I have tried firmware 2.6.5 and 2.6.4 both with the same results.

I had to go back into Settings, User, and re-enable Licensed Operator on the recently updated one, or set the non-updated one to 'off' for that setting. They no longer matched each other after update...

You should not be using licensed operator mode unless you are really sure you know what you're doing and you have a ham license. That mode disables encryption so you won't be able to talk with or see any nodes that don't also have that setting enabled. Please read the documentation.

Unfortunately this did not help my problem. Do you think that this has to do with encryption or possibly radio power? Since both are effected by enabling the Licensed Operator field.

If you are able to see and interact with nodes in the general area I think this might have to do with hop settings. I've noticed a bug in a custom build I did a few weeks ago where the hop settings refuse to accept any value other than 2. Might be something just on my end but it could be a bug that slipped through on certain variants.

I have a few nodes that are close by <2 miles away and 15 -20 <5miles away that would always show on this heltec v3. It is really odd, it is almost like it is a power related since it can hear / talk to my t-echo but nothing else.

I have the same issue. Heltec v3 now seeing Zero nodes reported since I upgrades to the current latest Beta a few days ago. That's down from ~100 or so regularly seen on 2.5.15.79da236 Beta
