Need help building firmware for diy setup

Hello, I'm having some issues with a DIY node where the messages never actually send and just say "waiting to be acknowledged." I have an esp32 connected to a rylr689 module according to this diagram: https://adrelien.com/content/images/size/w1000/2024/02/Ekran-Resmi-2024-02-17-21.12.33.png the only thing I did differently is I didn't connect the DIO0 pin, as the module I'm using doesn't have one. After doing some research it looks like a I might have to custom build the firmware and modify the variants file to get it to work with this setup. If somebody who knows more about this could help me out that would be amazing. Thanks in advance!
