Here are two videos to compare the behavior: it works on one (00b787_4636973343696040.mp4) and fails on the other (00b3fa_4648536776761442.mp4). But when I open them in VLC, they both have audio and seem totally normal.
I've also noticed that for certain videos, using get_samples_played_in_range, it might work for some settings of start_seconds and end_seconds but fail for others.
