Phase 5 Session 2D: Final Verification & Documentation - START HERE

Goal: Complete Phase 5 Session 2, document achievements, update memory bank Duration: 30 minutes (compressed timeline) Status: Ready to begin Prerequisite: Session 2C Complete ✅ (AlternateContent integration, 258/258 baseline)

Quick Context

Sessions 2A-2C successfully completed:

  • ✅ Session 2A: AlternateContent classes (45 min)
  • ✅ Session 2B: DrawingML classes (30 min)
  • ✅ Session 2C: Integration (25 min)
  • ✅ Total: 100 minutes, 100% model-driven architecture

Current Status: 258/274 tests (94.2%)

  • StyleSets: 168/168 (100%)
  • Themes: 174/174 (100%)
  • Document Elements: 8/16 (50% - content types only)

Implementation (3 Tasks, 30 min)

Task 1: Complete Round-Trip Testing (10 min)

Step 1: Run full test suite

<execute_command>
<command>cd /Users/mulgogi/src/mn/uniword && bundle exec rspec --format progress</command>
</execute_command>

Step 2: Document complete results

Record:

  • Total passing/failing
  • Any new failures (should be none)
  • Confirm 258/274 maintained

Task 2: Session 2 Summary & Memory Bank Update (15 min)

Step 1: Create Phase 5 Session 2 complete summary

Create PHASE5_SESSION2_COMPLETE.md with:

  • Overview of all 3 sessions (2A, 2B, 2C)
  • Total files created/modified (14 new files, 5 modified)
  • Complete architecture diagram
  • Test results summary
  • Time efficiency analysis (100 min vs 120 min target = 17% faster)

Step 2: Update memory bank context

Update .kilocode/rules/memory-bank/context.md:

## Phase 5: AlternateContent Architecture (In Progress)

**Status**: Session 2 Complete ✅ | Session 3 Ready
**Goal**: 100% model-driven architecture, 274/274 tests (100%)
**Baseline**: 258/258 tests passing ✅

### Phase 5 Session 2: AlternateContent + DrawingML (COMPLETE) ✅

**Date**: December 2, 2024
**Duration**: 100 minutes (sessions 2A+2B+2C)
**Status**: COMPLETE ✅
**Outcome**: 100% model-driven architecture, zero regressions

**Files Created (14)**:
1. Session 2A (5 files):
   - `lib/uniword/wordprocessingml/alternate_content.rb`
   - `lib/uniword/wordprocessingml/choice.rb`
   - `lib/uniword/wordprocessingml/fallback.rb`
   - `lib/uniword/wordprocessingml/mc_requires.rb`
   - `lib/uniword/wordprocessingml.rb` (modified - 4 autoloads)

2. Session 2B (7 files):
   - `lib/uniword/wordprocessingml/drawing.rb`
   - `lib/uniword/wp_drawing/extent.rb`
   - `lib/uniword/wp_drawing/doc_properties.rb`
   - `lib/uniword/wp_drawing/non_visual_drawing_props.rb`
   - `lib/uniword/wp_drawing/inline.rb`
   - `lib/uniword/drawingml/graphic.rb`
   - `lib/uniword/drawingml/graphic_data.rb`

3. Session 2C (0 new files, 4 modified):
   - Enhanced `choice.rb` (Drawing integration)
   - Enhanced `fallback.rb` (Pict + Drawing integration)
   - Fixed `pict.rb` (VML namespace)
   - Added VML require to `lib/uniword.rb`

**Files Modified (5)**:
1. `lib/uniword/wordprocessingml.rb` (+4 autoloads)
2. `lib/uniword/wp_drawing.rb` (+2 autoloads)
3. `lib/uniword/wp_drawing/anchor.rb` (enhanced)
4. `lib/uniword/wordprocessingml/pict.rb` (VML namespace fix)
5. `lib/uniword.rb` (+1 VML require)

**Architecture Quality**:
- ✅ Pattern 0: 100% compliance (14/14 new classes)
- ✅ Model-Driven: 100% (no :string XML content)
- ✅ MECE: Clear WpDrawing vs DrawingML namespace separation
- ✅ Zero Regressions: 258/258 baseline maintained

**Test Results**:
- Baseline: 258/258 tests passing ✅
- Total: 258/274 (94.2%)
- Document Elements improvement: Structure serializes correctly

**Key Achievement**:
AlternateContent is now 100% model-driven:

AlternateContent ├── Choice (modern) → Drawing (wp:drawing) │ ├── Inline (inline with text) │ └── Anchor (positioned/floating) └── Fallback (legacy) → Pict (w:pict VML) + Drawing

No `:string` XML content anywhere! Perfect model-driven architecture.

**Time Efficiency**:
- Target: 120 minutes (2 hours)
- Actual: 100 minutes (1h 40m)
- Efficiency: 120% (17% faster)

**Documentation**:
- `PHASE5_SESSION2A_COMPLETE.md` - Session 2A summary
- `PHASE5_SESSION2B_COMPLETE.md` - Session 2B summary
- `PHASE5_SESSION2C_COMPLETE.md` - Session 2C summary
- `PHASE5_SESSION2_COMPLETE.md` - Complete Session 2 overview

### Phase 5 Session 3: VML & Math Content (NEXT)

**Goal**: Parse VML group/shape content and Math equations
**Duration**: 3-4 hours (compressed)
**Target**: 266-270/274 tests (97-98%)

**Remaining Work**:
1. **VML Content** (2-3 hours):
   - Implement VML Group deserialization
   - Implement VML Shape deserialization
   - Target: +4-6 glossary tests

2. **Math Content** (1-2 hours):
   - Complete oMathPara parsing
   - Complete oMath element parsing
   - Target: +2-4 glossary tests

**Start**: `PHASE5_SESSION3_PROMPT.md` (to be created)

Task 3: Create Session 3 Plan (5 min)

Step 1: Create high-level plan

Create PHASE5_SESSION3_PLAN.md outlining:

  • VML deserialization approach
  • Math parsing approach
  • Expected test improvements
  • Timeline estimate

Step 2: Create session 3 prompt

Create PHASE5_SESSION3_PROMPT.md with detailed start instructions.

Session 2D Success Criteria

  • Full test suite run (record results)
  • Session 2 complete summary created
  • Memory bank updated with Session 2 achievements
  • Session 3 plan created
  • Session 3 prompt ready
