2019 Oled installation help needed

I have a Panasonic 2019 OLED which can be controlled by the TV Remote 2 app on my iPhone, so this app should be working too.

The installation wizard on Homey finds my TV with the correct IP address, but I cannot control my TV. I receive red error messages: unknown error [request_status_500].
I think it has something to do with the fact that my TV needs to generate a pin code and encryption key, which you need to fill in the app, before you can control the TV. The TV Remote 2 app from Panasonic does that request when adding the TV to the app, but the Homey app doesn't.

Is there any way I can get your Homey app to work for my Panasonic TV ?

Hello Rob,

You are right, newer TVs require pin identification as they use encrypted commands.
Implementing the whole encryption process is quite time consuming. And since I don't own a newer Panasonic TV, the whole process would take even longer.
Since the homey app is just a hobby for me, it will unfortunatly take a bit to implement your request.

But the code is fully open source and available here on GitHub, so you can of course also implement it yourself if you want :)
If you do, you will be added as a contributor of course!
