Failure when only .NET SDK 9.0 is installed

I recently reinstalled Windows and have only .NET SDK 9.0.100-rc.2 installed (no 8 SDK). Trying to load a project in VSCode I get

I think there was a widespread issue yesterday where there were no .NET SDKs after the VS installer ran

No idea, even though it was supposed to be Microsoft's "Official" MSBuild Language Server lol
