API - POST to trigger a beat

Related to the relatime beatdetector:

why is the newer version not working as in the old version, there its just a simple API Post needed to trigger a beat... i tried

does not work, Server Response is 200 ...

Why the API Doesn't Work in HueEntertainmentPro

The key difference is that HueEntertainmentPro uses a different architecture than your HueLightDJ repo:

How Beat Works in HueEntertainmentPro:

Why There's No /api/beat Endpoint:

HueEntertainmentPro doesn't have traditional REST API controllers. All client-server communication uses:

1. gRPC for client-to-server calls
2. SignalR for server-to-client updates

How to Call Beat in HueEntertainmentPro:

Option 1: From Blazor Client (Built-in way)

HueEntertainmentPro is a more modern rewrite of HueLightDJ with:

• ❌ But no REST API by default

To use your beat detector with it, you'll need to either:

1. Add a REST API controller (as shown above)
2. Or integrate the beat detector directly into the server project

Thanks for the PR. It's merged. I made some small modifications. I removed the intensity, because it's not used with the actual effect. And also made it available for GET requests for easy testing in the browser.
