Can't see hamburger menu to access help etc

Describe the bug

I spent 2 days using the app before realising (after looking at the code) that there is a whole left panel which you can swipe to to access Help, About/Ts and Cs, etc. This is not very discoverable to a sighted user, and completely inaccessible to a screen reader user. Is there supposed to be a hamburger button for it? It looks like maybe it was accidentally lost in 428d023 - if you use the searchbox to find navigation_drawer_open in the diff you will see my comment (but linking directly isn't working due to huge diff)

To Reproduce
Load the app. There is no button you can press to launch the side bar.

Expected behavior
You should be able to access the sidebar with some visible element.

I am guessing this is fixed by 5eb4afb but I have not tested it, and I'm not sure what the original intent was
