microsoft/MixedReality-HolographicRemoting-Samples#107
Describe the bug
Missing DLL's for legacy QR code reader on windows 24H2 since Microsoft deprecated Mixed Reality in this Windows version.
The hololens and Holographic Remoting have functional OpenXR hooks, including QR scanning. However, the actual Unity Subsystem to query this information is missing. As it stands, we require the use of a QR code to correctly anchor our scene, thus forcing us to be dependent on a deprecated package. This leads to proper crashes on the latest release of windows, as the dll's required where removed.
Would it be possible to replace the deprecated Microsoft.MixedReality.QR DLL for unity when we are using a Holographic Remoting app?
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Update Windows to 24H2
- Try running Holographic Remoting unity app with legacy QR code reader
- App crashes on start
Remote side (your Windows PC):
- Windows 24H2, build 10.0.26100
- Unity 2022.3.50f1
- Using Windows Holographic
- remoting SDK 2.9.4
- Nvidia G-force RTX 4060 Driver Version 565.90
Player side (e.g. your HoloLens 2)
- Windows Holographic, version 24H1 Build number 22621.1376
- Version 2.9.4
