What build of Windows is required for Phi Silica? (24H2+WIP, 25H2, or 25H2+WIP) #5985

i'm not sure the best place to ask this, but hopefully someone here will know the answer. what version of Windows is required to run Phi Silica? "Get started building an app with Windows AI APIs" states that it is Insider Preview Build 26120.3073 or higher, but now regular (non-WIP) 25H2 builds are 26200 and higher. do folks still need to be on WIP even once they are on 25H2, or is 25H2 enough? i don't see Phi Silica mentioned here at all: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/whats-new/whats-new-windows-11-version-25h2, so maybe WIP is still required? (also, no difference if Qualcomm or Intel, i'm assuming) thanks! |

i think i might have answered my own question: i reimaged a surface laptop and it updated to 25H2 at the tail end of the OOBE, and i saw under AI Components Phi Silica was already installed, so i guess no need for WIP once you've gotten 25H2. |

Correct, WIP is no longer required. The note has been deleted. |
