Why does basic create_agent I try with Foundry get me 404?

We use the azure-ai-projects and azure-ai-agents SDKs. Your project_endpoint looks to be incorrect. This is pointing to an Azure OpenAI resource, not an Agent Service project. You'll need to create a project in the new Foundry portal if you haven't. The endpoint is of the form: https://<resource-name>.services.ai.azure.com/api/projects/<project-name>.

@moonbox3 Thanks, I was under some misunderstandings like
-if I'm in the foundry portal I have a foundry resource
-OpenAI is just a flavor of foundry resource
-an OpenAI resource, in Azure, should work fine with APIs with names like 'AzureAI' or 'AzureOpenAIChatClient'
So now I think I understand these are not true.
Sadly, the 'uninformed user' experience was not great here.
