Hi We want to see if we can use this from a custom Orchestrator, can this be used as a remote mcp server ?

I have a similar question may be i put in different way, does this support SSE? Can i deploy this MCP Server in EC2 instance and use from vscode IDE or Claude Desktop.

Hello, it can be wrapped around in an API and expose that. However, the environment in which you run this will need to be configured to support MSAL authentication (as mentioned in the readme file).
It's worth mentioning that setting it up in a remote linux environment might be a bit tricky, in terms of handling az login. The underlying library can also fetch tokens generated by powershell azure package ( Connect-AzAccount ) OR by using environment variables such as AZURE_CLIENT_ID, AZURE_CLIENT_SECRET and AZURE_TENANT_ID, as required by MSAL.
If, however, for any reasons you need a more custom way of authenticating, such as simply providing a DevOps PAT token, that can also be easily configured.

We do not suggest using PAT's. Keep in mind this is a local server only right now. And it is still in preview. We will be looking into a remote server in the near future but want to make sure we have the right tools and they are working as expected before going remote.
