way to ensure mcp server does not lookup certain repos or wiki pages

is there any way I can get my MCP server to exclude certain wiki pages or code repositories. a manual way would to be write instructions in a custom chat mode or in the general instructions to exclude code reports e.g. beginning with TEST, or certain wiki pages. however, i would like a way e.g. similar to robots.txt, that i could mark certain pages to not be looked up by the mcp server. also, for certain code repos if i could add something in the readme that would ensure they are not used in the MCP server. does anything like this exist or is the solution to update the chatmode or copilot-instructions pages with these exclusions?

I am not aware of a way to restrict like this. But if you find a good way that works, please create an Issue with the details and we can update our guidance accordingly.
