Thanks for the highlight. Just to understand this in context of mssql-django, will we be able to uses mssql-python in lieu of the ODBC driver? If yes, will that support a combination of gunicovern + gevent for scaling IO-bound servers?

Mssql-python is intended to be a replacement for pyODBC + msodbcsql, so "yes", mssql-python eliminates the need to install the ODBC driver. (It does currently use a build of the ODBC driver under the covers. But the intention is that ODBC may be swapped out in the future without changing user installation requirements.)

As for the question about gunivcovern + gevent, that might be better asked over in the mssql-python repo.
