Feature Request like as Bash History

Bash history is a valuable feature of the Bash shell that maintains a record of previously executed commands, allowing users to recall and reuse them with ease. I request, incorporating a similar command history functionality into Windows Terminal—like the ones already available in Cmder and most Linux terminals—would greatly enhance user experience by streamlining workflows and improving overall efficiency.

In what way is the history feature of your shell insufficient?

English is not my native language, so let me explain further: Previously used commands can be viewed by pressing the up arrow in Windows Terminal, but they’re lost when I close and reopen it. (Please feel free to correct me if I’ve misunderstood something.).

Now, I’m using Clink with Windows Terminal to keep a persistent history of commands, even after restarting the terminal. I’ve requested that Clink-like functionality be included directly in Windows Terminal.
