Brief Issue Summary

I keep hitting this after the latest update (not sure when exactly):

notificationsAlerts.ts:42 No view is registered with id: cmake.bookmarks

I think it's from #4539

If you can't repro it, I might be able to debug it, assuming a fix can't be figured out from reviewing the related code. I haven't investigated exactly what the repro requirements are.
