Optimizing number of scanned files

Is there a way to list all folders or even files scanned be code? I get notification of hundreds of thousands of files being scanned that impacts performance. I counted c and c++ files in workspace folders and system files in /usr/** and I found barely tens of thousands of them.

@Racer84 You can set "C_Cpp.loggingLevel": "8" (a hidden value) and check the logging for update_file_if_needed.
