Debugging library code in remote jupyter server

I've been using the vscode-jupyter extension to run notebooks in a remote server from my local machine but I cannot figure out how to debug remote notebook cells while using breakpoints in local code. i.e. I have some python code living in .py on my local machine then I upload them to the server and use that code inside a jupyter notebook running remotely. It's possible to setup something like this https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/python/debugging#_remote-script-debugging-with-ssh for the jupyter debugger? i.e. specify the local to remote path mappings?
