Need to reinstall Jupyter extension each time I open VS code

Hello!

Something weird is happening. Each time I open VSCode, it shows that the extension is not installed, so I reinstall it. But the next time I open VSCode, it's not installed and I need to reinstall it. What's happening :)

Note, I'm using VScode in Windows, version 1.81

I did a clean install of vscode, removed extensions, etc. All is good now.
