Can't type in interactive window

I was surprised to find out that I'm not able to type in the interactive window. I'm curious whether this is a bug or not.

REPRODUCTION STEPS:

1. create test.py
2. paste in print('hello world'). Save
3. Run "Jupyter: Run current file in interactive window"
4. In the code cell in the interactive window, try to replace print('hello world') with print('hello foo')

Expected results:
Code changes

Actual results;
can't edit code
