Clicking on stop button does not immediately remove the spinning icons

Testing #24506

This is more related to the UI, and not so much to the testing I think

• Click on debug tests
• Shortly after click on the square stop icon
• The spinners continue spinning for several seconds
• I would have expected the spinners to stop spinning immediately

The pass states seem to go back to the states from before.
I am wondering if it would make sense to update with the latest states, and mark the other ones as skipped?

this is expected behavior since there are some UI elements that need to be updated
