Pytest Discovery Loop Bug #24683

@karimharrak

Description

@karimharrak

Type: Bug

Behaviour

The Discovery of Pytest gets in a endless loop after checking for test. But due to this loop it never finishes. In the last version (v2024.22.0) it was working fine.
IMPORTANT: This Problem happens only in macOS, not in WIndows

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start VS Code and start Test Discovery in macOS
  2. It gets stuck in a loop and does not finish.
