Missing Quotes for Python Path Argument - Space in Python Path Prevents Debugging with Arguments

Steps to Reproduce:

2. Debug python file with arguments

Seems related. However, it does not indicate that a fix was released, or a solution given. There was a comment suggesting to someone to create a new ticket since that thread was getting long. That thread is treated as dead, so I'm not sure why this was linked to it and then closed.
This shouldn't be closed until a fix is released, a solution given, or a walk-around recommended. I don't like installing programs in my user folder. This is why I installed Python for all users, which puts it "C:/Program Files/". I had to uninstall Python and reinstall it without the "For all users" option. This puts Python in a path (my user/AppData folder) without a space so I can continue to debug. It is common practice to place paths used as arguments within quotes to escape spaces.
Is there anything I can do to modify this behavior?

I had the same issue, but thanks to observations in microsoft/vscode-python-debugger#233.
I managed to escape double quotes in the program name with space. and debug with python argument works for me!
