Compatible version with Azure Automation #3166

Description

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe the problem.

The problem is that most of us use this module to run automated scripts in the cloud using Azure Automation. This service has no PowerShell 7.4, the latest version is 7.2.

I fully understand you dropping unsupported dotnet versions in the latest release, but apparently it is not unsupported since Azure Automation only has support for 7.2 running dotnet 6 which is EOL since November 24th 2024.

Describe the solution you'd like.

Best solution: tell Azure Automation product team to follow dotnet depreciation and update to 7.4

Alternative solution: Support PowerShell 7.2 in graph PowerShell until ‘best solution’ happens.

Additional context?

Related to: #3151 #3112 and probably many to come.

This is not really a SDK issue, but it is an issue for everyone using graph powershell in Azure Automation.
