test: validate on real Kubernetes clusters (GKE, EKS) #52
Description
Summary
Current testing is exclusively on Kind clusters. Validate Reaper on real cloud Kubernetes clusters to catch issues with different container runtimes, kernel versions, and security policies.
Targets
- GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine)
- EKS (Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service)
- Possibly a free-tier option
What to Test
- Overlay filesystem behavior on cloud node kernels
- containerd shim registration and lifecycle
- Volume mounts with cloud storage backends
- Node DaemonSet installation via Helm
- ReaperPod and ReaperOverlay CRD lifecycle
