feat: RPM and DEB packages for major distributions #53
Description
Summary
Produce native RPM and DEB packages compatible with major distributions (SUSE, RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu) for easier installation outside of Kubernetes/Helm.
Current State
Installation is via:
- Helm chart (recommended for Kubernetes)
- Manual binary copy (init container in node DaemonSet)
Note
This may be lower priority now that the Helm chart handles installation. Native packages would be useful for bare-metal deployments without Kubernetes, but the primary use case is Kubernetes-native.
