After almost a year of working on this app, my first "real" app, I learned a lot. Started from wanting to "make it work" then I moved to "improve and polish" and lately I started to think more and more about "making it last". I still want and plan to always maintain this app and that made me think more and worry about good and maintainable architecture. (worry in a good way)

Most important structural changes I should do:

• Clean the code as much as possible (clear structure and add useful comments).
• Create good documentation.
• Split images across multiple folders instead of keeping a single folder per image type (banners, covers, actors, etc.).
• Update functions and logic so APIs can be swapped more easily if one breaks, and support handling multiple APIs at the same time.

For general improvement:

• Continue polishing the UI across devices, fixing issues and making improvements where needed.
• Add more themes and improve the existing ones.

And possible changes:

• Improve the community page even more if it's used
• Change the book API (when/if hardcover becomes stable)
• Change the music API (if a better option becomes available)

Right now the book API is the weakest (the music API is also not great, but not terrible). The problem with changing them is that there aren’t API providers that are free and inspire confidence they will last long-term. So for now we work with what we get :D
