[Problem]: No connection nor Audio

What happened?

Hello everybody. I am running a Shairport-Sync setup on a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W and it was working just a few weeks ago. But right now I got a very interesting issue.

When I want to stream Audio to Shairport, the different macOS / iOS devices are showing, that the connection is successful and audio is playing (refer to screenshot), although on Shairport I got no connection in the logs...

I tried other Devices (macOS and iOS) and I tried different AirPlay-Devices (two different gen AppleTVs) and it's working - so the issue must be with my shairport-Setup. All Devices are on the same Network thus no firewall or Router are involved in the network comms. I have no firewall on the Pi configured.

Thanks for the post.

It would be useful to enable the gathering of statistics, just to see if Shairport Sync is actually processing audio at all. The setting is in the diagnostics part of the configuration file, or simply add --statistics to the command line.

The only unusual looking thing I see is the output device. Perhaps[s you'd consider running dacquery to see what devices you have available. Note that the developmentversion of Shairport Sync can transcode automatically (e.g. from 44,100 to 48,000) if necessary, so you don't need to use a plugin to transcode anymore -- simply send the output directly to the output device, and Shairport Sync will query the device to see what formats and rates it accepts.

Logoutput actually was with --statistics (see Relevant Log output of first message). Screenshots are from the same time, so technically iOS thinks its actively streaming. I am actively running development version. Changed the device to hw:U0x41e0x30d3

Thanks. A couple of things.

1. I notice you have enabled convolution (convolution = "yes";), but convolution support is not present in your build of Shairport Sync. You should add --with-convolution at the ./configure... stage.

   Also, the convolution settings have changed -- it's convolution_enabled now (check the default configuration file for reference).

2. Unfortunately, the log shows no activity at all -- it just seems to show the log at startup. Here is an example of what you'd expect to see when playing something to Shairport Sync after startup with convolution built in and with statistics enabled, but without a configuration file:

You can see a log entry of the connection being made and the playback starting and finishing.

If you could try to get something like that, it would be very useful. (Your file pathnames and lines number might be a little different.)
