start/stop mower from linux shell script using pymammotion

Sorry for posting this in the Issue tracker initially, where I was just wondering if it possible to start/stop the mower in a simple way from the linux command line or a shell script using pymammotion without using home assistant.
I just have very basic questions:

• The Wiki mentions a HTTP API for 'device'. However, the page does not seem to exist and the link just redirects to the Wiki itself, only the link for 'user' redirects to a different page. If I understand correctly, I would not need any additional software to control the mower using this API, just something like curl/wget?
• How would the BLE connection from a Linux box to the mower be realized physically? Would this require Linux hardware with bluetooth?
• Is any of programs in the subfolder 'tests' suitable to get started?

There is not http api, only MQTT and ble, requests are sent to the MQTT bus to execute on the mower.
