Can't repo2docker the url

Docker client initialization error: Error while fetching server API version: ('Connection aborted.', FileNotFoundError(2, 'No such file or directory')).
Check if docker is running on the host.

Is it the problem with my pc? I'm using mac

Found the answer: Non-sudo user must be in the docker group. See https://docs.docker.com/engine/install/linux-postinstall/.
RTFM to me.
