Emacs locks up when hl-sentence parses large files.

I installed hl-sentence and found it incredibly useful. However, it seems to lock up emacs in the case of larger text files (>50k) when scrolling, for example with PageDown.  Emacs starts to use 100% CPU and stays there for a long time.
