[BUG]: Formatting Not Applied to Multiple Selected Lines #229

Describe the bug
When multiple lines of text are selected and a formatting feature such as Bold (or other text styles) is applied, the formatting is applied only to the first line of the selection. The remaining selected lines remain unchanged
Steps to reproduce

Expected behavior
All selected text should have the chosen formatting applied consistently.
What is actually happening?
Only the first line of the selected text receives the applied formatting.
