Would you consider adding Weblate for easier translation contributions?

Hello! I've been following this project and really appreciate the team's ongoing efforts.
I was wondering if you might consider adding Weblate support? It could potentially make it easier for more users to contribute to translations.

I agree using qtlinguist scares away even those who have a small motivation to do translations.

If you want to test this just, clone minecraft-linux/mcpelauncher-ui-manifest then replace mcpelauncher_en.ts with your new language file you exported in weblate.

Maybe I need to commit a newer english translation file that is newer than the checked into the repository.

I am not currently do any self-hosting for this project, therefore if weblate rejects this project I will remove it after the test phase is over

I've noticed that the strings available in Weblate seem to be somewhat outdated, with many missing. For example, the launcher currently displays "© Copyright 2018-2024", but the provided string still shows "2018-2022".

Exactly. Actually, the reason I raised this issue is to get the new original text to facilitate translation. I originally intended to do the translation, but when I saw that the last edit time of "mcpelauncher_en.ts" was "last year", I thought, "What???" It seems like it's not even being used anymore.

I became lazy to commit translation file changes / finish my own non english translation. Due to being the only one touching them for years.

One mistake here is to not use translation keys, but english text for qsTr, that a prone to english translation changes.

That is why the file might look really old, since it is not used for english text at all.

However they had a benifit for broken build systems that do not have qt translation tools to still display english text

Sorry for implicitly making your translation change to needs edits, I fixed an usability problem in weblate that the english translation has been empty.

Now the weblate UI looks less broken while translating.
